Winelands October Escape 27-31 October
September 22, 2021
This year we have planned a road bike trip. A lap of the Winelands of the Western Cape.

Over the past years the October Escape has been an annual ride, mostly the group has done the pilgrimage down to the Amashova race in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

This year we have planned a trip to explore and enjoy the valleys and Winelands of the Western Cape! Beggining from the shores of Bloubergstrand overlooking the iconic Table Mountain, we will ride across to the Swartland and on to the valley of Tulbagh.

Nipping across the Slanghoek Road towards the wine farms of the Nuy Valley, we will have a chance to scour a Worcester Hill or two on the second day.

The queen stage of the trip will take us over the Franshoek Mountains, climbing the famous Franshoek Pass. With an opportunity to taste some of the fruits of the vine of the French corner..

Finally the ride will wind it’s way back to the Cape Town City bowl to end a few days of touring valleys and winelands.

This is a small group, supported road bike trip.
